Among the most basic questions everyone faces in life are: Why am I here? What is my purpose?
Self-help books suggest that people should look within, at their own desires and dreams, but the best starting place is with God and His eternal purposes for each life. Real meaning and significance come from understanding and fulfilling God’s purposes for putting us on earth.
Below are the basic purposes found in the Bible:
· You were made for relationship with God and others.
· You were made to grow in understanding and grow past the fractures and losses of life.
· You were made so that your life makes a difference in the lives of others.
· You were made to know and be part of what God is doing to share His message of hope to a broken and hurting world.
· You were made to be a worshiper. God’s relationship with you goes both ways: He directs His great love and blessing toward you, and you respond by loving Him back. This is more than what happens in a weekend church service. It’s a way of life.
